A Very Special Youth Donation
Recently, I have been in contact with Terry Maness from Horizon Darts. We talked briefly about our youth league and what we are trying to accomplish. Terry expressed that Horizon Darts would do whatever they could to help. I asked for a small amount of "surplus" supplies that they had so that I could help with repairs etc during youth league practice. Our kids tear up flights and shafts on a regular basis. It affects their game and is just one more distraction they simply don't need. What I received in the mail was astounding: 8 full sets of darts WITH cases A 2 gallon zip-lock bag STUFFED with flights and O rings A 1 Gallon zip-lock bag STUFFED with shafts. There is enough equipment and repair items for years of league practice. Words simply cannot describe the nearly 10 pounds of dart supplies donated at no cost to the youth program by Terry and Horizon Darts. The only possible way to repay Terry's company's kindness is to thank them with your business when you need dart supplies. We are extremely blessed to have such a great amount of dart supporters of our youth program. Terry and Horizon Darts are a big part of our league's success. Please feel free to check out their website at: www.horizondarts.comAgain, my most heart-felt thanks goes out to Terry Maness at Horizon Darts for the more than generous donation. -Matt
Youth Money Raised!!!
A very special thanks goes out to Terry Hassler for organizing a donation effort for the Youth League. After some miscommunication on my part and his, Hassler solicited donation from dart players at Sidepockets last Saturday evening and raised $154.00 for the youth program... that wasn't enough. Hassler and the Frogs matched the entire ammount for a total donation of $308.00 for youth. Thank you very much for all who donated to this great cause.

The winners and those that will advance to the national competition are: Zach Zimmerman and Quinn Balliet Congratulations to these fine darters. Please congratulate them the next time you see them. Over 4 hours throwing darts is tough to do for anyone.. these two and all the participants did a great job. Congratulations to all those that played their hearts out!

If you haven't been to Bubba's Nekked BBQ.. YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!!! Two fellow darters, Bubba and Randy have put together a fantastic new BBQ restaurant specializing in "Memphis Style" or BBQ with the sauce on the side. Bubba has always been a great chef and together with Randy they have created what is beginning to be a sensational place to eat! Don't take my word for it.. check it out for yourself! Don't forget to get the chocolate cobbler while you are there.. yummy..
A great article about Bubba and Randy's restaurant can be found in The Wichita Business Journal. You can't go wrong with BBQ and darts! Congratulations to Bubba, Randy and Missy on a fantastic place to eat! Check out the full menu HERE
